Banner Year for Craft Beer – Production Up 38% in 2014

Flash Flood Warning!

If the craft beer industry stays on this pace, we’re going to need beer floaties! According to the Brewers Association, 2014 was a record year for increase in both craft beer production (+38%), and operating craft breweries (+19%) in the U.S.

Do we smell a hop shortage? Home brewers may want to stock the freezer while they can get them, less afford them. You can always grow them, but mass production may not be an easy money maker (5 Reasons NOT to Become a Hop Farmer in 2015 via 47hops)

Almost a $20 billion dollar business with a 40% increase in craft beer sales from 2013 … a price reduction would be a nice touch for the consumer–for those that don’t brew their own, that is 😛
